Experience the festive charm of Germany's most famous Christmas market without travelling alone. Join a warm, welcoming group of women from Peterborough and nearby areas as we wander through Nuremberg's fairytale timber stalls, sip warm glühwein, and browse handcrafted decorations. It is the perfect winter getaway to soak in the holiday atmosphere, make lifelong friends, and explore safely together. 

We’ll be based in the breathtaking city of Nuremberg for 4 nights (28th November – 2nd December), with optional, easy day trips by train to two of the most picturesque towns in Europe: Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Bamberg.

Here is a little taste of what is in store for us:

Nuremberg: Home to the Christkindlesmarkt, one of the oldest, most famous, and spectacular Christmas markets in the world! Think glowing wooden stalls, the aroma of gingerbread and bratwurst, and incredible medieval architecture. Our hotel is right near the Old Town, so this trip is just as much about rich history and stunning sightseeing as it is about shopping!

Rothenburg ob der Tauber: A real-life, walled medieval town that looks like it jumped straight out of a storybook. It features cobblestone streets, half-timbered houses, and a year-round Christmas village that is absolutely enchanting.

Bamberg: A UNESCO World Heritage town famed for its charming old layout, its unique Town Hall built right over the river, and its wonderful, cozy festive atmosphere.

We’ve managed to bag brilliant afternoon flights with Ryanair at 12:40 PM—meaning no waking up at the crack of dawn!
